Waka Houston is a food delivery app that focused on serving food from an underserved market. While its competitors FAVOR and DoorDash deliver food from a large range of restaurants, Waka Houston aims to bring on restaurants that struggle to make the cut on more mainstream apps. It focused on native African and Jamaican cuisine, and to bring the gap between the restaurants owners, curious foodies on the hunt for new cuisine, and new age technology.
